A typical Wednesday for me means that it is errand day. I
like being up and ready to go at an early hour so I can get out and get things
done. Those years when I have a kindergartener, I try and get everything done
in the morning so I am home by lunch time and to pick that kid up. When
possible, I like to schedule appointments for me on this day, since I will be
out anyway.
Reminders to fill up the gas in the car, vacuum and wash the
car and any routine errands is how I decide if a particular day can hold more or
less errands.
When I need some extra help and time in my day it is nice to
use a program that lets you buy your groceries online and have them delivered
out to your car when you pull up and text them. I have been doing that for a
few weeks this summer and it is lovely, especially since all the kids are home
for the summer and they do not want to run errands either.
Using a dry cleaning service that picks up and drops off at my house has been wonderful. Finding ways to get things done more quickly or being able to skip something entirely helps me be able to make the best use of my busy errand day.
What are some tricks you use for errands?
