Readjust Your Attitude

There is always more we can add to our chore list. It will never be "done" completely because we humans will continue to eat, wear clothes, need food and like pretty things. This is one reason why you need to learn to give yourself a pat on the back and set aside some reward time for you. Every day. Even if you only have a few minutes, there is always something you can squeeze in for you that will readjust your attitude, refocus your priorities and renew your attention for all the other things that matter and you need to take care of.  

Several years ago I made a list of things that I liked to do. Making that list and looking at it often for ideas and "permission" to take a break helped me to do things that I really enjoyed more often. Sometimes we go for the easiest break option, which is great. But sometimes we need a little more and having a running list of things that bring you happiness is a great way to get your brain thinking about how you will use those 15 minutes to unwind. 
Make a list of activities you enjoy that take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours and carve out time for those things that you love. Set a timer, enjoy your time and then get back to the things that need your attention.
