So, you want to get organized. You feel like you cannot go on like this much longer. You are ready for more peace and calm in your life and you're sure that if you can just "get organized" your life will be blissful.
You're not far off. I have felt this same thing. Sometimes when you feel like you're drowning, or you figure something out but just can't seem to hold onto it, it's easy to blame it all on the things you aren't doing. Believing that you just don't have time to "get organized" won't make those overwhelming and drowning feelings go away. But the trick here is to focus on not the whys that aren't working, but the good things you're looking forward to.
If you listed all the reasons why continuing on in the same way you have been isn't working, how long would that list be?
Now, list the top three reasons why you want to be organized. The good things. The things you're craving and hoping for. The things you may feel are so far out of reach that even focusing on them seems ridiculous.
But it's not. Those reasons why should be your main focus in life. If you have a hard time staying motivated when your former habits and survival skills come into play, write out your reasons why and put them everywhere.
Surround yourself. Put it on your fridge, your bathroom mirror, your sun visor in the car, your phone wallpaper, your closet. Let it surround you. Let it be in your thoughts all day long.
Soon you'll want - crave - that life so much, you'll do whatever it takes to "get organized". But, you'll also stay that way.
