What do you do with all those tasks and chores and things that need to happen regularly, but only for a short amount of time?
Let me show you how this works in real life.
My son needs to do a certain requirement for cub scouts. He needs to follow a physical fitness program that he creates for a month.
A month.
He's 8.
How will he ever remember that without having to stop and start over and over again or drive me completely crazy trying to help him remember?
I'm teaching him how. It's on my rotating task list.
I just set up a reoccurring task for the 5 days a week that he needs to work on his fitness program in my tasks.
Then we add a chore to his chore list - "Exercise" or "Fitness Program".
Because it's on his list, he takes care of it. Simple.
And on those strange and crazy days where things simply don't go as planned, it's on my list to remind me to get that taken care of if it happens to get missed on his end.
There is no trying to remember and no beating ourselves up when we realize 5 days later that we have slacked off big time.
Simple. Easy.
And it's just as easy to delete when we don't need that task anymore.
Check!
