Tidy Up The Night Before

If you really want to stay on top of things, do not go to bed with a messy house. It doesn't have to be perfect, but picked up helps kick off the next day off with a much better start. That kitchen you really don't feel like cleaning? Everyone knows that dishes that sit overnight usually feel like they multiply and are always the dishes you wish were clean the next morning.
Start a new thing and spend 5-10 minutes every night to tidy up. If you have piles of things that need to be dealt with, that is not the thing to do if you really need to get to bed. Save those piles for a 5-10 minute sort during the day or right before dinner. The main thing to focus on during the tidy up at night is toys that you might have to navigate during the night, pathways and hallways, and the kitchen. Since I didn't make the entire mess myself, I get my family involved, unless I'm appreciating the minute to myself. Practice tidying up for a few minutes the night before and notice the difference that your mornings bring to your life. The more consistent you are, the easier and quicker it gets. You have to clean it eventually, sooner really does feel better.
