Changes

Changes in life or new circumstances always bring a chance to look at things in your life a little deeper to get a different perspective and focus for your days. Whether it's January, a new school year, or a change in circumstances due to a move, a new baby, a parent moving in, a child moving away, new assignments or responsibilities, etc, anytime we have a change in circumstances, we get an opportunity to look at things in our life and make changes.

First, take a deep breath. Many changes can bring great stress to life. Don't push the need for changes until you've had a second to realize what they are.
Once you know what changes are more permanent, you can better lay out for yourself the things that need revamped, let go of or can stay in your routine and on your schedule.
When we don't take the time to update and have our schedules reflect what is really happening in our lives, it can feel very out of sync and frustrating for long periods of time. This process may take a few days or weeks to really solidify, but with some vision of what is happening, what could happen and what used to happen in your life, you can change and update things to reflect your new "normal".
Every change can bring great happiness or frustration. The point isn't that we are in control, but that we can direct where things are headed with a little focus and forethought.
